Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Video Project Manager for an ongoing consulting assignment with our technology client based in Santa Cruz, CA. The Video Project Manager will assist in creating a video strategy and guidelines, as well as manage ongoing video projects with internal stakeholders and teams. The Video Manager will work to identify and assist external/vendor resources in understanding and adhering to our client's Creative Services system/processes, and manage the delivery of video projects from conception to completion.
We are looking for a heads-up individual with honesty, integrity and commitment to delivering excellent creative projects on behalf of our client. Candidates should have solid experience in a similar role and a proven track record assessing, assigning and delivering creative projects.
Responsibilities:
Monitor incoming video project requests on a daily basis, work with internal clients/stakeholders to determine project scope and assign relevant video vendors/agencies
Ensure incoming job requests contain the information and assets needed to assign the project, and follow up with requestor as necessary
Work with requestor to assess the cost and scope of the project, and identify possible approaches and resources to meet the need
Work with the requestor and designated resource to help coordinate and manage the production, including initial concepting, shooting, review, post- production and delivery
Coordinate and work with internal requestor and subject matter experts to ensure that brand, story, and products are accurately represented
Attend regular meetings with Brand team to assess workload on an ongoing basis
Keep creative teams apprised of project priorities and due dates, and expedite and prioritize rush projects accordingly
Keep all informed of conflicts, delays or any other unusual situations
Advocate for appropriate timelines of projects and obtain deadline extensions when necessary
Enforce adherence to work-flow processes, brand guidelines and deadlines
Collaborate with team on process improvement, and to improve traffic system and project management process
Maintain workload data for monthly and quarterly metric output
Skills:
3-5 years' experience as a Project/Operations Manager for Creative Services/Brand or Marketing organizations
Hands-on experience managing video projects, understanding of video guidelines
Experience with managing all phases of video production including: scoping, creating briefs, coordinating production and review schedules, editing, and delivery
Comfortable working with different types of creative files
Must have basic editing skills using at least one major video editing tool such as Adobe Premiere, Apple Final Cut Pro, AVID Pro Tools, Pinnacle Studio or similar
Client service focus, ability to problem solve with professionalism
Strong communicator, verbal and written
Proven experience assessing workload and assigning resources, ideally including consultants and vendors
Must have people management/vendor management experience
Ability to transition between continuously shifting workload priorities and assign resources for maximum efficiency
Extremely detail oriented and able to develop and track to timelines
Knowledge of local area resources/vendors/network a plus
BA degree plus hands-on video project management experience
