Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Corporate Communications Consultant for our technology client in San Jose, CA. The Corporate Communications Consultant will develop and implement internal communications strategies targeting internal audiences.
Partnering with and providing primary support to internal organizational leads and their executive leadership, the Consultant will create a cohesive internal communications program plan, create unified messaging spanning the entire organization as well as execute the communications. The Consultant will create the most effective communications matrix to engage, inform and educate employees about other parts of the organization (what they do, how they work together, their value adds, etc.)
The ideal consultant has a proven background in corporate communications, content strategy and execution, is a strong project manager and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. Business acumen and the ability to work cross functionally in a global environment are key success factors.
We're looking for candidates who are highly collaborative, positive, embrace change and have a passion for execution and creating results. Must be a self- starter, excel at working well independently as well as collaboratively with a team and possess the ability to consult, partner with and influence varying levels of management.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a strategic communications plan that encompasses employee focused programs and experiences, ensuring this maps to Engineering organization's strategy as well as company objectives
Work closely with internal stakeholders to communicate the organizations' story with a consistent tone and voice, to pull out the most interesting angles to a story, then craft it into a variety of employee-facing communications vehicles
Consult, collaborate, communicate, and manage expectations with business partners and stakeholders on an on-going basis to ensure alignment of communications goals and business direction
Drive communication strategy using the right mix of existing and new communication channels to build engagement, effectively communicating a cohesive story
Support ongoing stakeholder communications, facilitate cross functional meetings and discussions, maintain weekly updates, notes and Intranet updates
Create a master editorial communications calendar to optimally manage the influx and delivery of communications projects
Maintain accessibility and version control of core internal collateral such as messaging documents
Skills:
7-10 years' combined corporate/internal/employee communications, project management experience for at least one large technology company
Strong project management skills with proven success defining, managing, and delivering communications projects on time, on budget and with impact
Clear and evident skills for collaboration and working in a small, high-functioning team environment. Strong ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
Demonstrated leadership abilities in managing a cross-functional team, and willingness to be on point and out front in leading the project to solve a specified business need
Must have the ability to present consistent messages across multiple vehicles such as Web, PowerPoint presentations, email communications, employee events, etc.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong PowerPoint and graphic skills. Must have the ability to tell a cohesive story through PowerPoint in a clear, visually compelling and concise manner.
Basic HTML / WordPress skills
BS/BA required, or relevant experience
RATE: D.O.E., as W-2 employee of Crawford Group (benefits available
