Position Summary:

The Trading Data Applications team provides a full suite of applications, reporting tools, and a data warehouse which support the reporting and analytics needs of the Global Trading department, providing access to information which supports our counterparty relationships, cutting edge trading trends and analytics, and business-critical supervisory and regulatory reporting needs.

We seek a highly motivated Senior Systems Analyst who will contribute to all aspects of the data and analytics needs of the trading department. This position provides a growth opportunity for a highly analytical, detail oriented individual with a working knowledge of equity and fixed income trading workflows, as well as familiarity with the concepts of building, maintaining, and reporting from a Data Warehouse. An interest in data research and transformation which provides meaningful business value is essential.

Responsibilities:

· Partner with Equity, Fixed Income and FX trading business teams and IT stakeholders to understand and prioritize data and reporting needs

· Translate business needs into detailed business requirements and data transformation logic

· Assist with data modeling and design of an expanding Data Warehouse in support of new business requirements

· Oversee the delivery of high-quality business deliverables by working collaboratively with development and QA teams, both onshore and offshore, throughout the entire SDLC,

· Learn the workflows and data models for upstream trading systems to enable successful translation of functional requirements

· Lead the collaboration with EQ and FI trading applications teams to drive requirements in the trading system itself when needed for reporting purposes

· Provide end-user support by researching and resolving data issues and discrepancies

· Advocate for the business’ needs and proactively manage risk associated with production delivery

· Ensure adherence to established standards and processes while identifying opportunities for improvement across the team

Required Skills and Competencies:

· 7+ years of experience in delivering successful complex software projects as a Systems or Business Analyst through proven planning and analysis skills

· Demonstrated ability to proactively and energetically engage with both business partners and IT teams, adapting the conversation and style for the appropriate audience

· 2+ years of experience with the concepts of data warehousing and ETL concepts***

· Excellent SQL querying skills with knowledge of both OLTP and OLAP databases

· Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting and visualization tools, such as OBIEE and Tableau

· Strong understanding of Equity and FI trading workflows. A good understanding of complex financial instruments, financial markets and investment processes is also desired.

· Demonstrable ability to assimilate business and technical concepts quickly

· Track-record of working with business stakeholders, engineers, analysts, and infrastructure teams to complete and deliver solutions to multiple business user groups

· Must be self-motivated with the ability to work and deliver business outcomes with minimal supervision

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential

· Bachelor’s degree is required and an advanced degree is a plus
