Database Developer(Oracle and SQL)

Key Responsibilities
· Responsible for database maintenance, monitoring, and tuning activities primarily for Oracle and SQL Server.
· Work with architects and developers to design SQL queries for new development
· Well versed with database design and SQL code development
· Review existing database schema and come up with recommendations
· Provide emergency and urgent support as required by the business and/or application owner to ensure availability and integrity of the application and data
· Work with the application owners, on an as requested basis, to plan for and provide guidance on database hardware and software upgrade planning
· Maintain and audit database level security
· Evaluate, test, and deploy new database patches and upgrades
· Configure and maintain database administration tools for monitoring performance and change management
· Engineering point contact person for all database related activities
Required Qualifications
· BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
· Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server Database experience
· Experience in high-volume and large database environments desired
· Strong SQL/PLSQL skills required
· Ability to learn and support new applications
· Well versed with development and maintenance of cloud based databases
· Knowledge of programming languages like Java, .Net etc.
