Location: Santa Clara, CA; Loveland, CO, or Dusseldorf Germany (Relocation available)

Our client is a global science and technology leader in the manufacturing and distribution of analytical instruments, test kits and reagents for testing the quality of water and air.
The Global Product Manager will play a key role in building a new Business Unit by leading the advancement of a new SaaS platform targeted to data reporting, decision support and control capabilities to municipalities. You will lead the pricing, commercialization, and business models to successfully bring new products to market.
- Work closely with customers to obtain direct, unfiltered feedback.
- Own customer relationships for pre-launch testing and validation.
- Lead development and execution of commercialization deliverables including:
Identifying target customer segments
Conducting customer and competitive analysis
Developing and executing technical training
Creating value selling documents and other sales tools
- Develop forecasts for sales of new products and manages actual sales to meet or exceed the forecast.
- Mitigate risks and accurately model the financial impacts of new business models.
- Lead competitive analysis and research of competitors; understand key opportunities and threats; and develop/execute tactics accordingly.
- Work as Product Owner with the R&D team to drive development of product specifications, on-time completion of new product development milestones and alignment with the BU's strategic vision.
- Support BU Manager with strategy development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field; MBA preferred
- 5+ years of advanced product marketing, management and development experience for software products;
- Experience as Product owner with responsibility for product definition and backlog prioritization
- Agile/Scrum development process knowledge
- Software pricing and business model development (SaaS experience preferred)
- Software commercialization, ideally experience in launching products, Software sales a plus
- Data analytics, data science experience a plus
- Industrial-focused product experience a plus
- Strong critical thinking skills; the ability to synthesize a collection of facts into logical and actionable conclusions
- Strong written and oral communication skills for direct communication with customers, co-workers and partners at all levels, all functions and all regions of the organization
- Able to elicit and understand customer needs and translate customer needs into product requirements
- Proven track record of successfully developing and launching software products
