POSITION – Marketing Content Specialist

LOCATION – San Ramon, CA

TYPE - CONTRACT

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Marketing Content Specialist will support editorial and content efforts for Industrial Internet thought leadership and Software positioning.

• Create and evangelize editorial calendars and processes for proprietary digital properties and social media efforts.

• Create written content for a variety of proprietary and third-party digital media and a range of marketing and editorial needs

• Develop the voice, tone and messaging architecture for communications for Leadership and Businesses, in partnership with the matrix of marketing and communications teams throughout the Company.

• Establish multi-media content programs for use within third-party digital properties and events; team with technology and business partners on joint efforts

• Establish and execute on content programs to communicate the vision for the future of software and analytics that will drive the Industrial Internet.

• Oversee day-to-day work of freelance and agency resources, in support of content production

• Team with Business Marketing Managers to ensure delivery of business and technical content for priority verticals

• Work with the various Business Marketing and Software teams, create plan

• Partner with Businesses, Corporate Communications and other internal marketing teams to drive crowd-sourcing of meaningful content and topics

• Own the Software content tool kits, enabling Businesses to source and manage content globally and via a centralized repository

• Team with Brand and User Experience team to serve up thought leadership content and branded materials to ensure rich brand experiences

• Work with Digital Marketing Team to create effective and useful online content tools, including calendars, request processes, and the ability to provide visibility to other teams within.

• Develop and communicate content metrics and return-on-investment measurements; create dashboard and reports for Marketing Team and for Software Leadership

• Research and implement the latest tools and resources to increase content reach and measurability

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or related field

• 5-7 years of marketing or communications experience, technology or software experience strongly preferred

• 5 year experience writing and developing content for digital media, preferably for technology sector

• Meticulous leadership and execution experience in enterprise technology marketing editorial and marketing

• Ease in establishing and managing CxO communications and interactions

• Technology partner marketing experience required

• Marketing program creation and measurement

• Track record of successfully managing multiple programs with poise under pressure

• Fluency in web technologies, social media, and digital marketing.

• Persuasive communicator and effective relationship-builder, invigorated by the possibility of working across a large, global and complex entity.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

• Must be willing to take a drug test and submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.

• Must be willing to travel.
