Location: Atlanta, GA with travel to Birmingham, AL and Denver, CO

Immediate need for an experienced Solaris Engineer and Solutions Architect for a role within its consulting practice based out of Atlanta, GA! Travel is required for the role.

Description:

Experience in Mx000 (M5000, M8000 or M9000) would be awesome.

They will have to setup domains and containers and will probably have to have some SAN side. I don't expect them to build out the physical servers, but it would be nice to have someone that has that experience. Also, if they have infiniband and iPMP (bonding) configuration, that would be great.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Sun Systems Administration, preferably with expertise in the design, build, troubleshooting and diagnosis of production/operational systems
- Experience with Sun clustering technologies, prefer Sun Cluster 3.x certified
- Experience supporting applications operating in Oracle VM software and /or Solaris 10 zones
- Experience with Solaris, Unix, and Linux (all are preferred)
- Knowledge of Sun Systems – M-Class systems (M3000 - M9000), SunRay thin client, Multi-Layer Secure SunRay (MLS)
- Knowledge of Solaris 10 – Solaris Jumpstart, LDOMs, DTrace, SunCluster / Veritas Cluster, Trusted Extensions (TX)
- iPMP implementation and/or other NIC bonding experience preferred
- Experience setting up and configuration Infiniband switches is preferred
- Experience working in a large scale enterprise level organization with a large customer base
- Knowledge of industry standard tools like Scheduling Tools (Appworx, Autosys), Monitoring Tools (Oracle Enterprise Manager), Reporting Tools (Vista) preferable
- Experience with Web applications, Web servers, Application servers, Java, PL/SQL, Shell scripts, HTML and XML (Sound knowledge of scripting (C shell, B shell, K-shell or Perl) and HTML)
- Prior experience of supporting Production environment for Mission critical and Business critical applications is desirable
- Experience working with different file systems and storage devices (SVM UFS, Veritas, DAS, and SAN)
- Detailed knowledge of networking principals: TCP/IP, Routing, DNS, NIS, routers, Load balancers, and firewalls
