Manager of Software Engineering
Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Manage, coach and develop staff Analyze software systems Write software specifications and modules at the senior level Debug, test and integrate software at the system level Improve and/or fix product features Produce final design documentation Effective, persuasive communication of work product to the entire organization Facilitate communication among R&D and other departments General support of Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, Sales and Marketing
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering plus 10 years of related experience (or Master's Degree plus six years of related experience) and/or equivalent training and experience Three years of management experience in the research and development of a technical product in the medical device industry
Additional Qualifications:
Ability to make critical judgments and decisions Technical proficiency commensurate with organizational level Ability to work cross functionally with program managers and other functional managers effectively to solve problems and drive change Strong leadership skills and the ability to make critical judgments and decisions that drive process and technological growth Excellent team leading abilities and interpersonal skills Customer focus both internally and externally Affinity for teamwork, logic, innovation, initiative and self sufficiency Familiarity with issues surrounding the design and production of medical electronics, as well as cardiovascular physiology, pathophysiology and thebiologic interface of a mechanical device is preferred Experience in a regulated industry with knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulation is preferred
