We are seeking a Social Media/Digital Marketing Specialist to develop and implement internet marketing strategies for various related entities focused on the American Criminal Justice System, including a mainstream print magazine distributed nationally, an interactive web portal, and more.
What you will be doing:
Social Media
Manage day-to-day presence in social media sites and other criminal justice and general interest community sites, writing, posting and engaging.
Initiate and engage in relevant conversations, under direction of Managing Editor to build the brand, create a social referral network, and to drive information-sharing.
Identify influential criminal justice/law enforcement communities and continuously monitor them for opportunities to engage.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and the editorial team to develop applicable communications.
Create a trusted personality on social media sites through factually grounded content, integrity, transparency and active community participation.
Monitor the conversations taking place about the various related entities, via social listening tools, and analyze, review, and report on patterns emerging, feedback and key metrics/effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
Digital Marketing:
Manage execution of marketing email programs, including creation, development and testing.
Work with Database Manager to effectively target prospects, deliver lists, and implement programs.
Administer and coordinate updates to management of related entities and their marketing website.
Implement A/B tests, analyze performance and make recommendations to optimize site based on results.
Coordinate various additional marketing programs, including online advertising, research and contests.
The skills and qualities you have:
1-3 years of experience in similar role.
Research and analytical skills to extract data and draw conclusions.
Excellent writing skills, taking ownership for quality and accuracy of your writing.
The organization is a virtual company across the nation, therefore you will work from your home office and it is imperative that you are a self-starter, highly motivated, trust worthy, and proficient in technological communication tools.
A passion for staying on top of new marketing trends and technology.
Can-do attitude and willingness to step out of your comfort zone to get the job done.
Bachelor´s degree in marketing, communication, journalism, or liberal arts.
