TITLE: Logistics & Supply Chain Senior Planner/contract

term: 3 month contract for an employee on medical leave.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client in Sunnyvale develops state of the art MEMS-based silicon timing solutions. They address the $5B timing market with leadership products that are the smallest, thinnest, most robust, reliable, configurable, and offer the shortest lead times. They are looking for a hands-on senior planner. The qualified individual will be working with team of overseas planners in handling all of the Company´s production planning, and customer order fulfillments.

Key responsibilities include:
Translate forecast / customer demand into optimized Fab, Assembly and Test plans
Develop scaleable capacity models and forecasting tools
Work closely with Sales-Operations and Marketing to identify and meet all customer requirements and priorities
Handle variety of logistics issues including, supply chain services; inventory control; critical parts availability; purchasing; RMA management; import/ export licensing; shipment of products; third party warehousing management
Analyze silicon & package parts inventory levels and suggest improvements
Accurately and efficiently prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventory-loading reports
Generate and communicate daily WIP reports and schedules
Work with Product Engineering to schedule starts, maintain log, collect paperwork and track progress through manufacturing process
Audit schedules, factory performance to schedule, and Wafer Prep adherence to schedule
Develop and provide training to other employees within the planning department

REQUIRED SKILLS:
BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, Production Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, BS Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines
5+ years experience in fab-less semiconductor manufacturing
Advanced level of MS Office skills (especially MS Excel & MS Access)
Strong database, and systems skills (SAP, Oracle APS, I-2, Vision, AMAPS, SPN, MS Access preferred)
CPIM or CSCP preferred
Knowledge of ERP, MPS, MRP and other SCM functions preferred (>2-years)
