[KITlist] Marketing Communications Writer (San Jose, CA)

SDL (LSE:SDL), the leader in Global Information Management solutions to the world's leading brands , is seeking Marketing Communications Writer for our Language Technologies Division.

This person will be responsible for marketing writing and supporting PR activities to drive awareness for our division. The primary focus will be North America, with additional support for the UK and Germany to help extend the recognition of our products and solutions across the world.

• Work with senior marketing director to develop quarterly communication & PR plan to support marketing/sales goals
• Author marketing content, such as bylined articles, press releases, blog posts, speaker proposals, whitepapers, case studies
• Drive social media outreach and activities, including authoring blog content, updating social media channels, tracking conversations and trends
• Pro-actively identify opportunities for SDL to contribute to conversations; create appropriate content for these opportunities
• Collaborate with team members to deliver consistent messaging across all marketing activities
• Using product and divisional messaging, create unique pitches to drive PR activities
• Reach out to press with story ideas & manage day to day communications with press

The ideal candidate will have strong, versatile writing skills, have experience with PR and social media, and have existing relationships with press/analysts in CRM, Marketing, IT, Brand management, or global communication. The candidate should be able to deliver compelling content to fulfill strategic communication opportunities.

Requirements:
• Demonstrate writing samples and explain impact
• Ability to distill complex ideas and make them understandable and meaningful to target market
• Proven ability to leverage social media for business communications
• Relationships with press in areas of CRM, Marketing, IT, Brand management, global communication, or localization (desired)
• Strong presentation and organizational skills
