The Role: Financial & Accounting Senior Associate
The Location: Plano/Dallas, TX
Montgomery Coscia Greilich LLP, a full-service professional accounting firm is seeking a Financial & Accounting Senior Associate to join our team. We are a leader in our field and one of the largest local firms in our area with expertise in traditional accounting services as well as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and systems consulting.
The Financial & Accounting Senior Associate will prepare cash and accrual basis financial statements for their clients. They will also assist and prepare reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, roll forwards, budget and fluctuation analysis, forecasts, and general accounting consulting. They need to have some familiarity with payroll and sales tax payments as they may be required to assist some clients with this. The Financial & Accounting Senior Associate will develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and consult with them regularly concerning financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, processes and procedures and other general business issues.
Required Skills & Experience
œ Three to five years of recent financial statement preparation experience. Prior experience in public accounting a plus, but not required
œ Bachelorfs degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university
œ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. QuickBooks experience a plus. Adept at learning new accounting software packages
œ Familiarity with payroll and the payment/remittance of related state and federal taxes
œ Experience with general GL accounting
œ Experience preparing cash and accrual basis financial statements for clients
œ Experience overseeing other staff a plus, but not required
œ Ability to prioritize multiple client assignments, meet deadlines and work within a budget
œ Ability to think and work independently as well as request help as needed
œ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
œ Possess qualities of professional demeanor, positive attitude, self-initiative, decisiveness and high energy
