The Director, Public Relations will be responsible for the development and management of the public relations strategy, plan and day-to-day activities to aggressively promote the brand across vertical sectors and geographies around the globe.

 

As a key member of the marketing team, the successful candidate will use formal, informal and social media channels to convey our client’s story and work to promote the brand, drive rapid awareness as well as demand generation through a variety of mediums targeted to select audiences as required around the globe.

 

Main Duties:

-Develop and manage the company’s Public Relations strategy and associated plan as well as ensure the successful delivery of the plan to achieve stated business objectives

-Create Social media plan and framework and enable members of the broader corporate team to carry out their responsibilities in a proactive and connected manner

-Support the development of corporate level messaging for public facing engagements including presentations, seminars, webinars, and other

-Investigate and make recommendations on new communication vehicles for conveying brand messaging and awareness building

-Deliver tactical execution on all PR aspects of the business including the creation and management of news releases, case studies, success stories, client testimonials, presentations and other related items

-Proactively engage, develop business relationships with, and secure opportunities in industry related and international media for editorials, features, and other coverage as appropriate

-Deliver effective written communication with key media on press releases and related materials; prepare and manage media engagements for management team

-Research and prepare materials for management team regarding key developments in the market

-Actively participate in the planning and execution of all branding and marketing initiatives

-Manage external relationships with vendors as required

-Track all media coverage as well as media production, approvals, placements, and billings

-Create, manage and regularly report on metrics to measure all aspects of program effectiveness for Public Relations

-Develop and manage annual budget for Public Relations

-Other duties as assigned by the VP, Marketing

 

 

Required Professional Skills

 

-Minimum of 7 - 10 years' experience working in a public relations/communications group

-Ability to create positive external relationships with a multitude of individuals/entities as well as with multiple levels internally with cross-functional stakeholders

-Expert in written and oral communications through multiple mediums and for a wide range of audiences across industry sectors, geographies and audiences

-Strong working knowledge of and experience using social media in a business-to-business environment

-Previous experience in eLearning, enterprise software and/or high tech solutions providers highly recommended

-Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable

-Ability to influence and make decisions

-Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with rapidly changing priorities

-Strong analytical and research skills

-Attention to detail

-Advanced level usage of Microsoft Office

-Completion of a college/university degree in Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, Marketing and/or Journalism

-Master's degree preferred
