Position
The successful candidate for this position will have sales responsibility for the u-blox GNSS receiver, cellular modem, and short range wireless products in Northern California. The Regional Sales Director will manage existing and future accounts of u-blox, including key accounts. The candidate will report to the VP Sales West Coast of u-blox America.
Functions
• Account responsibility for existing and new u-blox customers
• Find new design-in opportunities in the region
• Increase the u-blox customer base in the region
• Complete responsibility for the full sales cycle, including cold-calling, lead follow-up, design-win, closing opportunities, getting purchase orders
• Coordinate and promote sales efforts in the region
• Participate in the definition and execution of the sales strategy of u-blox
Profile
• Bachelor/Master of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Minimum 5-year experience in sales of microcontrollers and semiconductors, and/or analog integrated circuits
• Strong technical background
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• At ease with engineers, while comfortable with customers on the executive level
• Experience with wireless technology, GPS, and firmware development
• Frequent travel (ca. 30% of the time) in the USA
• Occasional travel to international destinations
