CIBER is searching for Data Analysts to work as part of the Data Team focused on providing usable data for the ongoing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation of Oracle eBS. The Data Analysts will be working with process teams, business users, and extract developers to develop cleansed data files, and provide the files to off shore developers for conversion. The Data Analysts are responsible for facilitating the whole process, and ensure the data quality is in place before the data is loaded to the target system.
Key activities will include:
- Conducting business rule gathering workshops with the participation of key business contacts and ERP process teams
- Documenting, programming, and implementing rules within the data tool
- Developing data scorecards
- Conducting workshops with business users, ERP process teams, and legacy extract developers to provide feedback on overall data quality
- Formatting, transforming, and consolidating of source data slated for conversion according to the specifications created by ERP process teams
- Working with off shore conversion developers, process teams, and legacy extract developers to resolve data quality and/or design issues
- Generating, formatting, and distributing data validation checklists and reports, and collecting data sign off from business users and process teams
- Trillium software or other tools (i.e. MS Access) for data profiling
- Ability to write and interpret simple SQL queries
- Familiarity with basic relational database concepts
- Familiarity with basic data management and manipulation techniques
- Ability to clearly communicate both technical and business concepts
- Ability to prioritize tasks, conduct meetings and conference call-based workshops to identify issue resolution steps and processes
