MARKETING MANAGER

JOB FUNCTION
The Marketing Manager creates and executes high-touch demand generation activities to promote existing products into new markets and to drive the adoption of new and innovative products.
This position initiates, manages, and assesses a range of marketing programs that include web campaigns, web site changes to drive search ranking, email campaigns to increase sales conversions, AdWord programs, webinars, and customer events. This position is highly visible as it is at the core of our go-to-market initiatives, and requires coordinating the ideas and deliverables of almost everyone in the company.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create a new revenue-generating, positive-ROI program within 90 days of joining the company for our existing products and new products.
• Drive demand through email, website, webinars, events, press, and social media.
• Track and analyze campaigns to optimize the communication methods, timing, and tools.
• Increase size of subscriber list for our opt-in email campaigns.
• Assist in inbound and outbound PR activities.
• Utilize latest in SEO and SEM techniques to improve Equilar's organic search ranking and drive leads through effective pay-per-click (Adwords) campaigns.
• Amplify our messaging with strong writing skills to create a leadership position in new markets.
• Manage and generate collateral and sales tools and make sure that our sales organization is your satisfied customer.
• Collaborate on the design, messaging and execution of effective events and demand generation programs, including channel and partner marketing.

• Success in this role will depend greatly on:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially with regard to prospects, customers, colleagues, and the Company's senior management.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to learn, adapt, and process new information quickly.
• Proven track record of success in marketing at start-ups or small companies (<200 employees) experiencing rapid growth.
• Previous experience successfully running marketing campaigns yielding measurable positive results.
• A passion for creating great marketing materials and effective campaigns.
• Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to multi-task and manage projects of varying complexities.
• Able to work with a variety of different people with diverse backgrounds.
• Driver and a self-starter.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct reports.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 2 – 5 years of professional experience, with a focus on marketing or communications.
• Understanding of the role of electronic marketing, including email, SEO/SEM, social media, blogs, and emerging technologies.
