Security Software Sales - State and Local $275k OTE
THE JOB
Our client seeks a hunter-type sales professional with enterprise sales skills in the network security and/or configuration compliance market. A proven track record and history of success is mandatory, as is customer commitment and employment stability. We seek a successful technology sales person to cover the state and local government marketplace in the United States. This position will have a specific emphasis on promoting and selling advanced agentless solutions focusing on Configuration and Compliance, Vulnerability/Risk Management, and Security Information Management.

In this role, you will be responsible for selling enterprise-wide security, configuration and compliance, and SW/HW solutions to C-level management in State and Local government entities.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Proven record of consistently exceeding quota
• Must be tenacious and success-oriented, a self-starter with high energy
• 5-7 years' experience selling network security solutions, specifically governance, risk and compliance, at the enterprise level. This is a MUST.
• 5-7 years' experience selling systems and networking solutions
• Experience and successful track record selling products to state and local government entities. This is a MUST.
• Solid foundational understanding of government contracting and grant process (DHS & CMS specifically), state contract vehicles and associated partners. This is a MUST.
• Experience partnering with major consulting firms such as CA, Accenture and others will be a plus.
• Experience selling through a channel
• Experience with and the ability to demonstrate consultative solutions selling.
• Strong business, communications and information technology knowledge.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply technical knowledge relating to company and competitor's offerings.
• Experience using Salesforce.com highly desirable.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, fast-growth environment where action and initiative are prerequisites to performing well.

This position can be based in any major US metro area, such as NYC, Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco, etc. Relo assistance is NOT offered. Principals and local candidates with eligibility to work in the US only.

Compensation = $120k base + $120k commission + accelerators; reasonable first year 0TE $275k
