Compensation & Benefits HR Manager w/CEBS & CCP cert. Position for Kimco Services Atlanta/Perimeter Mall area

 

Responsibilities:  The Compensation and Benefits Manager will design and implement a comprehensive compensation strategy including sales incentives and bonus structure. 

To support this effort, the candidate must perform market studies and internal job analyses to ensure pay practices are competitive both internally and externally.  The Manager will perform compensation functions to include job reclassification analyses, desk audits and organizational structure reviews.

 

Review proposed individual salary increases based on promotion, reclassification and reassignment and hiring rates to determine internal pay equity and provide recommendations. Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations impacting compensation, i.e. FSLA, ADA, etc.  Conducts job evaluations, determines FLSA status, applies appropriate market data, documents findings and recommends job classification levels. Develops tools and processes to more efficiently and effectively calculate and communicate annual merit increases.  Collaborates with leadership to create and update job descriptions.  Creates reports and analyzes data to recommend structure adjustments, provide costing and recommendations for Union wage negotiations, and classification placement.  Responsible for the development and implementation of corporate profit sharing program including budget preparation for incentive plans.  Responsible for development and implementation of employee recognition program.

 

 

Benefits Responsibilities:  The Compensation and Benefits Manager will be responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of Kimco’s group benefits program to include group health, dental, vision, STD, LTD, workers compensation, FSAs and life insurance.  This position will investigate new benefit programs to ensure we are offering cost effective competitive options to support employee retention, and supervise and monitor 3rd party benefit administration.  You will be responsible the annual analysis and design of employee benefit plans as well as the delivery of annual open enrollment.  You will partner with the HR Director and Manager of Employee Relations to develop and implement communication strategies to support open enrollment and new hire onboarding.  This position must evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.  Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefit process.  You must ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and assure timeliness and accuracy of required fillings.  Additional duties:

•             Prepare, collect, and organize data for actuarial assessments.

•             Survey industry trends.  Analyze complex benefit information.  Forecast trends.

•             Provide customer service support to internal customers.

•             Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company’s benefits offerings.

•             Prepare summary plan descriptions.

 

Qualifications

 

•             Bachelor’s degree and three to five years related benefits experience required.

•             CEBS highly preferred.

•             CCP certification is highly preferred.

•             Capable of effective planning and priority planning.

•             Knowledge of FSLA and applicable state and federal regulations specific to compensation.

•             Knowledge of benefits contract language required.

•             Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, filings, and compliance both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs including

ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125, Workers Compensation, Medicare, OBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements.

•             Must have 2 to 5 years of solid compensation experience.

•             Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving and project management skills.

•             Exceptional analytical skills with ability to interpret data, detect trends, draw conclusions and formulate recommendations.

•             Advanced proficiency in Excel required; Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Powerpoint helpful.

•             Strong interpersonal and consultative skills.

•             Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

•             Ability to multitask while maintaining high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.

•             Ability to maintain confidential information

•             Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
