REGIONAL HR BUSINESS PARTNER W/MCKESSON PHARM MFG EXP RICHMOND/RUTHER GLENN, VIRGINIA

 

FULL-TIME position

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Human Resources Business Partner is an extended Leadership member and close advisor to the leadership team.   A successful HRBP establishes credible understanding of the business model, deploys capability to diagnose organizational needs and talent, consults with client groups on people strategies, develops and implements workforce planning, talent management, organization design and other human resource effectiveness strategies to improve business performance through people.

She/he will lead company-wide programs and initiatives (performance and compensation planning programs, workforce planning, people plan development), champion the organizations culture and employee experience, develop practical local solutions to achieve business objectives through talent (engagement strategies, team effectiveness solutions, change leadership methods, programs to support the business areas key initiatives) and coach leader’s to enhance their people leadership capabilities.

A key need of this role is in the use of human resource analytical tools and metrics to inform business decisions. 

The HRBP will also ensure the quality of Human Resource service delivery through effective collaboration with our Human Resource Shared Services and specialist teams and consistent application of HR policies, processes and systems within groups supported.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

5+ years HR experience

 

CRITICAL SKILLS

Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to Human Resources.

Strong business acumen

Excellent communication skills

Business and strategic planning skills

Strong developer of organizational talent

Results Orientation

Ability to effectively influence and coach

Client Focus

Project management and project execution experience

Employee Engagement and Talent Review Process experience

Ability to work in a complex business

Change management

 

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Demonstrated capability to provide thought leadership, effectively articulate his/her point of view and communicate with business relevance.  Can readily establish credibility with others.

Exceptionally strong consulting and coaching skills.

Self-starter with superb follow up and attention to detail; exceptional ability to manage day to day activities efficiently.

Client/customer focused, results orientation; collaboratively drives to solutions

Experience navigating organizational complexity and complex change

Ability to uses data driven business information (analytics), to extract insight from analysis and translate the impact of HR solutions via measurable results.

Experience with acquisition due diligence and company integrations a plus. 

The ideal candidate will have experience with a similar client group and working for a publicly traded company that uses a shared services/specialist model for human resources management.

Experience creating and executing team and leadership development modules.

Ability to work in warehouse setting

Experience with positive employee/labor relations

Distribution or Manufacturing experience preferred

Experience working in a field HR position with multi-state based clients preferred

 

EDUCATION

4-year degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or business related field.  Advanced degree preferred.

 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE

 PHR/SPHR CERTIFICATION OR OTHER EVIDENCE OF BASIC KNOWLEDGE IN THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF HR

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

General Office Demands.

Requires approximately < 35% domestic travel
