Institute For The Future is a Palo Alto non-profit organization that helps to shape the future. This role is responsible for supporting and coordinating IFTF's financial functions and has primary responsibility for AP, AR, job costing, and GL reconciliations. The Finance Manager will need take initiative and hit-the-ground running in this dynamic environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist with month-end close and financial statement preparation, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
Ensures that all account reconciliations are completed on time.
Helps to prepare all necessary tax documents: corporate taxes, property taxes, sales use tax, environmental tax, and other nonprofit documents as required. Supports the annual audit.
Sales pipeline analysis and report preparation.
Manages accounts payables; prepares checks as needed.
Prepares accounts receivable invoices as needed.
Manages AP collection efforts, requesting help from program managers
Create various management reports.
Expense reimbursements and reports.
Job Requirements
BA degree in Accounting or Finance
Five or more years experience as a full-charge accountant in a consulting environment.
Accounting experience in a non-profit organization.
Experience with MAS500 or other accounting system.
Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with ADP and Salesforce helpful.
