[KITlist] Inside Sales Representative (San Mateo, CA)

Strong interpersonal and telephone selling skills are required. Working closely with our outside sales and marketing teams, the Inside Sales Representative will research prospective customer targets and identify buyers within the targets; cold call and create opportunities or respond to inbound inquiries; qualify them against our ideal customer parameters; and provide a warm handoff to the account executive.

Responsibilities

•Using internal and external data sources, identify prospective customers and appropriate target buyers within each

•Make outbound calls to target buyers, take inbound sales calls or respond to inbound electronic leads from marketing campaigns, qualify prospective customers for need, budget, timing, and buyer authority to convert to a sales accepted lead

•Overcome initial technical and business objections to demonstrate a value-based selling proposition

•Develop and execute territory plans aligned with sales and company goals

•Accurately forecast lead acquisition and conversion rates

•Internalize and apply company, product and industry sales pitches to effect

Requirements

Must have:

•At least 3 years of demonstrated success (goal attainment or better) in an inside sales capacity qualifying enterprise software prospects

•At least 3 years of success selling analytics, business intelligence and/or geospatial software

•Working knowledge of utility, transportation, logistics, or oil gas industries a plus

•Deep knowledge of SalesForce.com including reporting, email templates, campaigns and lead processing

•Strong interpersonal and telephone skills

•Aggressive, energetic, desire to work in an achievement-measured environment

•Strong team player

Highly desirable:

•Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent experience in an inside sales role

•Experience working at a start-up

•San Mateo, CA-based (relocation not offered)
