Job Overview:
The Watermark Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing online communications, managing media relations/outreach, upholding brand standards and developing/executing the organization's marketing strategy. The Watermark team works in a virtual office environment, but meets in-person at events and at weekly team meetings. Candidates must live in the Bay Area and be able to attend events/meetings in Silicon Valley and San Francisco.
Responsibilities:
- Developing content for weekly, bi-monthly and monthly email campaigns
- Managing all social media accounts
- Managing Watermark website content
- Creating marketing materials for upcoming events
- Supporting Watermark Team with copywriting/copyediting as necessary
- Developing editorial calendar for Watermark blog and email campaigns
- Occasional press releases
- Managing media relations: developing new media contacts as well as maintaining existing contacts
- Attendance at all Watermark events
Requirements:
- Excellent written communications skills
- Strict attention to detail
- Basic understanding of both traditional and social media marketing
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to work in a virtual office environment
- Professional demeanor both online and in-person at events
- Passion for women's development and leadership
- Bachelors degree
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in marketing or communications a plus
- Understanding of the women's leadership and professional development landscape in the Bay Area
