[KITlist] Content Creator/Graphic Designer (Santa Clara, CA)

Description:

This position is responsible for developing and updating marketing collateral, technical documentation, and other 'print-based' deliverables. Executes on E-marketing initiatives including email campaigns, social media campaigns, and mobile marketing campaigns. Duties also include technical writing (manuals), copywriting/copyediting, layout and design (print & web), layout/design of HTML email campaigns and landing pages in Marketo, and assisting with Marketo administration and support.

Reports to: Global TechCom Manager


Responsibilities:

• Develop clear, concise, and compelling content that inspires the end user, improves user experience, increases SEO, supports key initiatives, and influences call-to-action.
• Write compelling marketing copy and content to include feature/benefit and customer centric messaging.
• Create content and prepare technical documentation and marketing collateral based on the needs of internal and external customers. Partner with subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy.
• Work successfully as part of a highly collaborative cross-functional team on various projects, content strategy & copy development.
• Prepare deliverables following established corporate style guide and branding objectives.
• Determine content requirements. Research and identify best sources of content. Compile and synthesize content collected from a variety of sources effectively.
• Build marketing campaigns in Marketo and execute the campaigns with assistance from Field Marketing Managers.
• Determine the appropriate format and design for the requested deliverables (online, print, e-marketing, etc.).
• Review and test software and hardware for accuracy and consistency with technical documentation. Identify problems and suggest revisions as needed.
• Review, edit, and proofread materials written by others.
• Review and revise previously created collateral as needed.
• Adhere to established processes to create the highest quality deliverables possible on time and within budget.
• Provide support to the Marketing Operations Manager for SalesForce.com related activities.
• Provide support to the Web Marketing Manager for web content updates.


Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to write clearly and informatively while varying writing style to meet audience needs.
• Must be skilled in presenting numerical, financial or technical data in a way that is most effective for target audiences.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work needed. Should show accuracy and thoroughness in written content and ensure consistent formatting and appearance. Must consistently edit own work for spelling and grammar accuracy
• Must actively monitor own work to ensure quality and be open to receiving feedback on performance. Expected to apply suggestions for improvement, as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams required.– Must effectively balance team and individual responsibilities. Exhibits openness to others´ views. Gives and welcomes feedback. Contributes to building a positive, collaborative team spirit. Puts success of team above individual interests. Supports everyone´s efforts to succeed.
• Must be able to manage multiple concurrent projects and have a track record in prioritizing and planning activities effectively based on shifting internal/external customer priorities. Must have experience developing realistic action plans, and setting and meeting tight deadlines.
• Should have strong desire to continuously learn and grow professionally, set and achieve stretch goals, and demonstrate persistence in overcoming challenges
• Must be able to make well informed, targeted and timely decisions; Exhibit sound and accurate judgment; explain reasoning for decisions made; and Include appropriate people in decision-making process.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, technical communications, marketing; or public relations or three to five years related experience and/or training. Equivalent combination of education and experience also acceptable

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

• Experience with website and social media program/content support preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience developing technical and end-user documentation and marketing collateral.
• Strong knowledge of HTML code and related web development activities.
• Must have advanced knowledge of content creation/design software, including Adobe and Microsoft software suites.
• Proficient experience with Marketo, Eloqua, HubSpot, SilverPop or other marketing automation tools.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, such as SalesForce.com.
• Dreamweaver experience, SEO experience, strong analytical experience a plus.
