Brand
Public Relations Specialist - Nutrition

The Brand Public Relations Lead-Nutrition will support the development of strategic
brand PR plans to support Nutrition. S/he will work with our market
leaders to develop cohesive and aligned programs, and work collaboratively with
the Marketing and Integrated Service teams on a regular basis.

Individuals who hold this position are career-level, senior professionals in public
relations. The individual who holds this position is expected to demonstrate
senior competence in understanding Amway's business model, brands and products
and PR strategies. This position supports large internal clients and
affiliates, leads significant PR projects and manages broad PR programs.

Job Description

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to...

Manage programs and projects assigned by the Brand PR Manager-Nutrition/Home;

Lead the development of relationship-building with key Nutrition influencers,
including bloggers, and media.

Collaborate and work with Nutrition brand teams, Global Integrated Services
team and PR counterparts in the affiliates;

Provide consistent brand messaging;

Develop and deliver global PR programs;

Partner and work with PR agencies as appropriate;

Provide strategic input to Marketing team in creating content and setting and
delivering PR strategies;

Liaison with the Social Media Community Manager to provide story threads and
information for such channels as the social media community manager;

Promote a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to
achieve business results.

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations,
Nutritional Science or related field

Seven to 10 years of brand public relations experience, specifically in
nutrition, health care and/or wellness

Senior proficiency in PR principles/practices, with specific experience with
product/brand PR programs

Established background, or advanced degree, in nutrition science

Strong grasp of strategic planning

Supports larger, more complex clients

Leads complex projects and programs

Mix of agency and corporate experience ideal

Has led and organized teams

Strengths in strategic communications expertise and planning

Relationship management experience with media (traditional and social),
external agencies and business partners

Experience with social media channels and with maximizing those channels to
advance projects/programs

Self-motivated and able to make decisions

Strong written and verbal skills

Ability to plan and manage schedules for multiple tasks
