Overview:

The Manager of Software Development is a seasoned vet with a minimum of ten years of relevant professional experience with at least five of those years in a hands-on technical capacity. The Manager of Software Development will be seasoned in software development practices, experienced building and leading teams who has proven experience with CD, CI, TDD, and other XP practices to deliver very high quality software products with in a rapidly changing environment. Job Description:

 

  • Be prepared for all - from writing a line of code to release onto a multi-tenant SaaS production environment.
  • Work closely with product management to plan product plan of action, release plans, etc.
  • Prioritize tasks with changing demands, conflicting priorities, and resource constraints.
  • Constantly collaborate with multiple teams to ensure the delivery of a quality product.
  • OWN PRODUCT – architecture, design code reviews, quality audits, etc.
  • Assist in establishing metrics, QA strategy and delivery infrastructure.
  • Define and manage production release process of product.
  • Increase automated test coverage at multiple levels.
  • Manage software engineering and QA groups.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Knowledge of the .NET framework (C#) REQUIRED – preference will be given to all candidates with experience in Java (and/or other OO and scripting technologies).
  • Prior manager/director level experience is required. (NO EXCEPTIONS and this will be verified during a background check).
  • Experience with Web Services (WCF) and SaaS / cloud deployment models REQUIRED.
  • Software development and QA experience as applied to product development.
  • Understanding of DDD, refactoring techniques and design patterns required.
  • Experience with development in non-GUI automation.
  • 3+ years in supporting software development teams.
  • Experience within continuous delivery pipelining.
  • Experience with Agile, XP and/or Scrum shops.
  • Experience in XP development practices.

COMP: 100-115K+ (depending on years of RELEVANT experience, education, certification(s)+full bennies and stock.
