Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a full time Internal Communications Manager consultant for one of our top clients located in San Jose, CA. The Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for developing strategic, integrated communications to our clients' employees, ensuring that all messages are disseminated consistently and efficiently. As the client company evolves in response to shifting market dynamics, the Internal Communication Manager is charged with positioning change management efforts, setting expectations with employees, and highlighting milestone progress achievements.
The ideal consultant is highly organized, has exceptional and creative internal communications skills, a positive spirit and "can do" attitude. Must have a proven ability to drive projects forward in a rapidly changing environment.
Specific responsibilities include:
*Create and develop content, positioning and messaging
*Create messages with very little information; quickly assess where the company is today and understand where the company is headed, in order to recommend key messages for employee communications at different points of the transformation effort
*Synthesize messages from multiple sources and make relevant for internal target audiences
*Develop supporting materials, including communications plans, organizational announcements, presentations and web content
*Design content to publish through internal corporate communications channels including the intranet and internal social media
*Provide strategic communications counsel to Senior Director
Skills:
*8-10 years Internal Communications, Corporate Communications, Executive Communications, PR or Analyst Relations experience for at least one large B2B technology company
*Transformational, change management or crisis communications a strong plus
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: written, verbal, presentation
*Demonstrated ability to define and assess communication strategies and build actionable communication plans
*Must be comfortable delivering results despite a high degree of ambiguity
*Ability to deliver against short-and long-term communication strategies while consistently driving tactical execution
*Experience with communications strategy and content development for diverse online and offline channels, including internal social media
*Proven experience developing collaborative relationships with a broad range of internal stakeholders, including interacting with and supporting senior level executives. Must have good listening and stakeholder influencing skills
*Must be able to work with data from multiple sources and aggregate into concise priorities. Focus on metrics, data sheets and ROI in support of operational success
*Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
*Bachelors' degree
Rate: $2,200-2,280 per week, D.O.E. as a w2 employee of Crawford Group
Location: Monday-Thursday onsite at client offices in San Jose, CA; Friday optional WFH/remote. No phone calls, please.
