In the Information Management Group, you will have the opportunity to be part of the hub powering Symantec's security strategy for the enterprise. Responsibilities:
• Lead feature teams in an agile/scrum environment
• Create test specs and test cases based on Product Requirement Documents and Functional Specs
• Automate test cases using Java based framework
• Own testing of new features from spec reviews, test spec and test case, creation, testing, and, automation
• Serve as the QA release lead for future DLP releases
• Work with development, support, and product management to troubleshoot software defects
• Handle multiple software testing tasks on a variety of platforms (Windows and Linux)
• Manage activities to meet delivery dates and report accurate and complete status
• Improve skill set of junior SQA engineers

Qualifications:
• 4+ years of testing/automation/development experience
• 2+ years of test automation or unit/functional testing
• Strong programming ability in Java
• Previous leadership experience highly desired
• Good experience using scripting languages such as TCL/Exactor/Perl
• Understanding of source control and versioning systems
• Strong background in Windows XP/7, 2003/2008, and Linux
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic understanding of servers and networking
• Outstanding problem-solving and organizational skills
• Must be willing to work as part of a team and have a "can-do" attitude
• Expert troubleshooting and reasoning skills
• Proficiency with SQA concepts and methods
• Experience in creating test specifications, reviewing test cases
• Algorithm and performance tuning experience a plus
• Code coverage knowledge a plus
• Security/privacy testing and threat modeling experience a plus
• VMware products experience (ESX, Workstation, etc) a plus
• Solid understanding of software security testing preferred.
