We are currently looking for a Web Business Analyst who can lead a project or
phases of a project. This is a business position that is responsible for many
aspects of development and implementation. The candidate must have experience
managing complex cross-functional projects that span teams, organizations, and
geographic regions. Most projects are in-flight and will require the Business
Analyst to rapidly ramp-up, be nimble, and quickly form productive and positive
working relationships with team members, stakeholders, and IT from varying
technical and business backgrounds and skill levels across the organization.
The Web Experience Management project will transform our publishing experience.
Adobe WEM (Web Experience Management) has been selected as the publishing system
to replace the existing publishing platform. The scope of this project includes
implementation of WEM as a platform for publishing content to our .com and
associated migrations. This project will challenge the Business Analyst in many
areas including Change Management, Business Process Re-engineering and
optimization, and Risk Identification and Mitigation. The Business Analyst will
work under the direction of the lead WEM Business Analyst to support various
parts of the effort.
Responsibilities:
* Under general direction of senior project team members, coordinate,
facilitate, execute on project goals and objects and provide periodic updates
and feedback.
* Work with business user community to gather requirements, document existing
business processes, and make recommendations on how to improve existing business
workflows and processes, and obtain consensus from disparate business teams.
* Gather requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements
workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases,
scenarios, task and workflow analysis, and prototyping.
* Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile
conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from
low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests
from the underlying true needs.
* Identify and Document Change Management Needs and Risk Analysis/Mitigation
Skills:
* Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
* Experience with Web Content Management systems; e.g., Documentum Web
Publisher, Adobe/Day CQ, and/or Interwoven Team Site
* Experience with business process re-engineering and optimization
* Software Prototyping Techniques (e.g., Evolutionary Prototyping, Incremental
Prototyping, etc.)
* Ability to create professional-caliber documentation including Business and
Requirements Process documentation (including but not limited to UML Use Case,
UML Activity Diagram), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Scripts
* Experience with Business Process Modeling tools such as MS Visio,
Visual-Paradigm, Rational Rose, etc.
* Experience in Agile Development environments
* Ability to meet deadlines, document and understand web publishing application
and processes, write system specifications and requirement documents.
* Very organized and detail oriented
* Manage process, timelines, and change requests
Recommended (not required):
* Six Sigma Training/Certification
* IIBA Training/Certification
* Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)
* 2+ years of project management experience in Web or software related field,
knowledge of Microsoft Project helpful
* Technology Familiarity: HTML, .NET, XML, Web Services
* Project Management certifications from PMI or other training programs a plus.
* Experience with prototyping software (e.g., Axure, Protoshare, etc)
