The Sage Group is looking for a Sr. Visual Designer for one of their clients, a global visual collaborative workspace on the Peninsula. In this role you will be involved in every aspect of the desktop, mobile, and innovative interactive product development process—from the conception of new features and collaborating with cross-function teams to helping ensure the proper implementation of your designs prior to launch. You will utilize your full range of design, communication and problem solving skills, and in this, own a large portion of the design for products.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the visual design of desktop, interactive wall, and mobile applications for client.
- Research, design, and prototype the look of new user experiences based on product requirements.
- Produce deliverables including art design treatments and prototypes, production of visual assets and documentation required for proper implementation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Production, Product Marketing, and Senior Management.
Skills Required
- An excellent digital portfolio showcasing visual design of user experiences for desktop and touch devices
- 5+ years' experience creating world-class user interface design in web, mobile-web and iOS app experiences
- Ability to communicate design concept ideas through sketches and wireframes
- Highly skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote and other design tools
- Experience in designing iOS app experiences from start to finish as a visual and UI designer with familiarity with iOS development
- Prior experience working within a technical environment
- Able to function independently and in a team environment
- Enthusiasm for an iterative design process, driven by group critique
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and ability to present work to executives and large groups; excellent collaboration skills
Skills Preferred
- Ability to prototype in HTML/CSS/JavaScript, AfterEffects, or other tools
- Icon design and 3D experience
- Previous experience working in e-commerce environment
