Description
Provide technical leadership & support to our manufacturing group & our partners on our line cards with cutting-edge technology. Engage in process development & influence product design/architecture for manufacturability in the New Product Introduction phase as well as improving the processes/products in the production phase. Lead a team of highly-skilled test development engineers to provide sophisticated, robust & scalable manufacturing tests at local & remote manufacturing sites
Description:
•Manage the development, installation and support of the automated production test infrastructure
•Responsible for defining schedules and tracking to full implementation
•Define and implement test software and hardware architecture strategy to support scalability and serviceability of the test platforms
•Ensure test infrastructure meets and exceeds the target production capacity requirements
•Partner with design engineering to define and implement detailed testability requirements, such as;
•Component and architectural test access
•Diagnostic and operational SW support
•Design for Test
•Responsible for outgoing quality of all carrier class networking products
•Sponsor, review and approve all product test strategies and implementation plans
•Utilize product functional and architectural knowledge to implement optimal test process
•Drive end to end product, yield and process improvements
•Responsible for refining process and strategy to drive failures earlier and then out of the mfg process
•Responsible for continual maturing of test infrastructure
•Direct and manage the assignments of a team of test engineers
•Manage and implement test development outsourcing strategies
Requirements:
•B.Sc. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Advance degree a plus.
•6+ years in manufacturing test development and new product development with at least 2 years in the networking industry.
•2+ years in a technical management role
•Hands-on experience with high-level structured object-oriented programming and database applications: VB.Net experience a plus
•Familiar with contract manufacturing environment
•Prefer to have managed remote third party test development efforts
•Direct experience with the tools, processes and requirements of an automated production environment
•The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, with great quantitative analysis skills, is self-motivated, a great team leader, able to pro-actively communicate with all employees and work well in a fast-paced environment
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
•This position requires interface throughout all levels and functions of the organization
