Market Research Analyst – Synopsys, Inc. (Sunnyvale ,CA)
This is a dynamic and fast-paced work environment with competing priorities and deadline pressures, so the analyst must be flexible, patient, detail-oriented, well organized, and willing to tackle concurrent projects as requested. This position requires the ability to be assertive and resourceful with excellent project management skills. Thoroughness, critical thinking, high quality work, honesty, and confidentiality are crucial, as well as the ability to set priorities and exercise good judgment.
Ideal candidates will have:
· Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and on-line databases; a willingness and ability to quickly learn new tools and software.
· Prior experience in market intelligence, competitive intelligence, corporate finance, M&A, technical marketing and/or corporate development.
· Prior experience in a technical software industry in a marketing, sales or engineering role
· Solid communication (including presentation) skills; Superior writing/editing skills are required with the ability to quickly distill key messages.
· Strong business acumen and the ability to interact comfortably with all levels in the organization and with external analysts.
· Interest in corporate development and strategy
· Conversant in the semiconductor, EDA and/or technical software industries and related competitive dynamics, with a basic understanding of computer science and/or electrical engineering concepts preferred.
· Interest and expertise in research methodology with an inquisitive nature and innate sense of urgency to solve internal client issues.
· Self-motivation with the ability to deliver results with minimal supervision.
Education:
· Bachelor's degree (preferably in engineering or business with a concentration in marketing or finance, or equivalent) with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience; MBA a plus.
