[JIMSJOBS] MY CLIENT NEEDS in Watertown, MA Oracle DBA

 

– 6 months contract – need EAD/GREEN CARD/CITIZENS only – Watertown, MA– Will do skype interviews

Our Client is seeking a Sr Oracle DBA for a 6-month contract opportunity located in Watertown, MA.

Responsibilities: 

  • Under general directions, designs, implements and maintains complex databases with respect to access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. Includes overall monitoring of standards and procedures, and integration of systems through database design. 
  • Competent to work at the highest level of all phases of database management. 
  • Analyzes and changes performance of database as necessary. 
  • May create schemas and sub schemas in consultation with application project teams necessary to implement database design. 
  • Implement and maintain transaction logging, back-ups, space management and security features. 
  • May take lead role on database projects. 
  • Able to work in high pace environment. 
  • 24/7 support of high volume OLTP system. 

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of related experience; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. 

Skills:

Must have at least 5 years of experience in the following: 

Oracle Environment:

  • Oracle 11g RAC/MAA.
  • Exadata.
  • Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Advanced features such as table partitioning, services, ASM.
  • Storage using SAN and NAS.
  • Red Hat Linux.
  • Data Guard and/or GoldenGate.
  • Database migration/ETL.

Other:

  • MySQL, Cassandra, Couchbase experience a plus.
  • Splunk.
  • Data warehouse experience a plus.
