Description:
As a Technical Project Manager, you will provide program management and oversight on the delivery of complex business solutions in a complex, geographically dispersed matrix organization. The project management function is multifaceted requiring a combination of general business acumen, industry intelligence and broad technical knowledge coupled with the ability to plan, coordinate and execute as core competencies.
This challenging position requires superior organizational skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple support partners. As a successful Technical Project Manager, you will possess a broad based technical background with emphasis on knowledge of technology and infrastructure and project management processes. PMP, ITIL, and/or Six Sigma certification is a plus!
*In addition to requiring a heavy technical project management/infrastructure background—other specific competency areas/backgrounds the client is requiring candidates to possess (one or more of the competencies should be possessed) to complement the technical project management background are as follows: Mid-range/Mid-range server/Mid-range build experience, Network/Network server/build experience, VOIP, Organizational Change Management, Data Center Migration/Management, Call Center/De-commissioning, Desktop Deployment/Refresh/Support, Mainframe, and Business Solution experience.
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
· Manage cross functional project teams employing standard project management discipline and processes in delivering the right technology solution to the internal business partner on time and within budget.
· Deploy the appropriate technology solution to meet the business requirements.
· Ensure all project health / status metrics (FTE hours, all expenses, schedules, etc.) are accurate.
Required Experience/Skills:
- 7 years Project Management experience
- Solid skills in PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to work in a geographically dispersed, complex matrix organization and discern the internal business partner requirements - bringing the voice of the customer into the project.
- Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) and facilitate design and decision-making sessions.
- Proven expertise in effectively managing projects through the use of tools and templates for: resource planning, risk/issue management, financial management, implementation planning and scope management.
