Description:
The manager of the Product/Process Quality Assurance Department is responsible for administering through the manufacturing site Quality Authorities the company (`9s quality program (QMS/AS9100) in accordance with customer and company requirements. Concurrent PQA development with PCSS (UTAS Segment QA) Responsibilities Include: 1. Establish procedures for maintaining high standards of Product/Process quality, reliability, and safety. 2. Determine and enforce quality and safety requirements. 3. Directly responsible for administration of Product Acceptance, Quality Engineering, 4. Evaluate and develop improved techniques for the control of quality, reliability, and safety. 5. Establish specific quality goals and objectives to deliver X to Y results. 6. Facilitate the transition to a APQP (Including PPAP, MSA (`9s Pro-Cert etc.) centered QA system 7. Clearly define specific objectives and functional responsibilities. Set standards for inter-manufacturing site actions and integration of planning with product and operations planning. 8. Provide present and future requirements by recognizing future challenges and establish activities that will develop towards those requirements. 9. Continually give direction objectively in terms to stimulate decisiveness and clarity of inter-manufacturing site actions. 10. Able to provide evaluations and constructive criticism to further quality performance. Activities should be monitored on a day-to-day basis along with occasional audits. 11. Guide in the selection of personnel and aid in the development of their position. 12. Detailed knowledge of current UTAS quality activities and product testing techniques. 13. Provide a high degree of leadership by stimulating and motivating, by maintaining human relations, setting a positive example, and establishing an overall objective and creative environment. 14. Possesses a high ability of control and expression through both written and oral skills. 15. Have the ability to influence change through knowledge and persuasion. 16. Ability to accept change and reduce efforts when objectives are being controlled. 17. Creative in the area of management systems. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (or related field; and or a minimum of 10 years of experience in a quality engineering position dealing with Manufacturing quality process techniques and quality improvement programs. Candidate should possess basic knowledge in the manufacturing/processing of electrical/mechanical and electronic devices. MUST BE EXPERIENCED IN AEROSPACE AS9100c QMS REQUIREMENTS CUSTOMER/SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIPS. A STRONG KNOWLEDGE IN APPLICATION OF APQP PROCESS. CLOSING Knowledge, Skills and abilities: 1. Computer literate with a working knowledge of software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. 2. Able to maintain a high technical knowledge of process control, and capability. 3. Excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical material processing. 4. Able to effectively coach/mentor and lead a team professional team. 5. Able to plan, direct and delegate work to others. 6. Able to direct and handle several different functions at the same time. 7. Strong analytical and statistical skills. 8. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Technical writing skills will be important. 9. This candidate should be able to determine the difference between a critical & general issue and gage priorities based on that assessment in a timely manner. 10. Able to stay up to date on current industry trends and technical advancements. |
