Role: Sr Java Developer
Duration: 18+ months
Location: Boston MA
Rate: OPEN/DOE
  • 5-8 Years of Java Development exp required
  • Experience building multi-tier, scalable, server-side applications
  • Experience working with quickly-changing and/or geographically-oriented data.
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment
  • Good understanding of Web Services protocols (REST) and architectures
  • Prior experience with cloud hosting environment Big Data, based on NoSQL and various "big data" tools/applications. Will be built with RESTfull web services, using Queuing Systems (AMQP), All Java development.
 
Keys - developing code for querying data stores, optimizing data storage and messaging/queuing systems, scientific programming, working on tile based images, map services
 
Languages & Frameworks: Java 7, JAX-RS, Jersey, XML, JSON, Atom, JAXB, GSON, Groovy, Spring Data, cURL, Advanced Rest Client, Apache Jmeter.
Appserver : Tomcat 7
IDE: Eclipse JUNO
Build System : Maven, Gradle
API Management Middleware: e.g. WSO2, Layer7.
Version control : GIT, Gitty, EGit.
