Pay Range: $75-$80k Yearly

Relocation: Relocation Candidates are accepted. Will do a Sign-On Bonus, usually paid in first paycheck, but cannot assist directly with Housing.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

JOB SUMMARY

Design, develop, test and debug embedded system software, written in C/C++.  This position will require working as an integral part of the total development team with other software engineers, hardware engineers, test engineers, marketing, and manufacturing.  Provide innovative and cost-effective solutions that meet customer requirements.
­­Will have ownership for all aspects of the talent acquisition process. They will be responsible for partnering with the HR team and hiring managers to identify staffing needs, gain an understanding of the  skill sets needed in a variety of positions, develop a recruitment strategy, screen candidates, present candidates and prepare offers of employment.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in product definition and design specification processes
  • Evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations of optimal technical approaches.
  • Designs and implements, either working alone or as part of a software team, high quality software solutions to meet or exceed product requirements. 
  • Participates in the development of software to interface to production test equipment.

·       Works with hardware engineers on defining interfaces and making hardware/software trade-offs.

  • Performs thorough testing and evaluation of software to ensure maximum quality levels and complete functionality. 

·       Troubleshoots and debugs software issues in a timely and effective manner.  Works with other team members in the software and system design validation process.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Ability to work well independently and within a team environment.  Motivated by technical challenges, with a strong desire to deliver quality products on time.  Good written and oral communications skills. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or computer science.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in software development environment

 

PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Programming experience in C and C++.
  • Experience with ARM and/or  Freescale 32-bit controllers preferred
  • Good grasp of software design principles. 
  • Experience in test engineering a plus in order to support tester interfaces.
  • Basic understanding of hardware/software interfaces.
