We are looking for a Marketing Events Program Manager for a contractor role at a global enterprise solutions company. The role will be based in Sunnyvale, CA. The Marketing Events Program Manager will be responsible for all planning, programming and logistics management for major tradeshows and industry events in the US.
This is a 40 hours per week; 1 year role (extensions likely) onsite at the client's offices in Sunnyvale, CA. This is a w-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions' employee.
Responsibilities:
• Research, develop, produce and deliver events from proposal through execution.
• Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every event.
• Coordinate logistics of all selected events from planning to execution stages including but not
limited to registration, reservations, payments, assessing vendor participation, establishing
partnerships with equipment vendors, researching additional opportunities related to each
show, overseeing all aspects of booth expansion, organizing booth demos with sales/training
teams.
• Developing, and maintaining vendor relationships.
• Traveling to on-site inspections and project managing events.
• Ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery of each event.
• Perform a variety of administrative/office-related tasks—submitting events expense reports,
purchase orders, ordering and designing booth giveaways.
• Supervise, direct and coordinate activities of personnel, subcontractors and vendors as
required to successfully execute all aspects of the event on scheduled delivery day.
• Ensure speakers are briefed and prepared to provide effective presentations and materials.
• Execute conference responsibilities including scheduling tradeshow booth shifts, maintaining a
clean area, logistical communication of developer evangelism team.
• Provide post-event analysis, budget recaps and participant feedback and incorporate learning
into future plans.
Requirements:
• 4-5 years marketing experience in a marketing events management role.
• Proven experience managing large scale tradeshows and industry events, at a global
technology company.
• Extreme attention to detail
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Capable of working independently as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including
remote areas.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and tight
deadlines.
• BA in marketing, communication, or related area of study
• 10% to 20% travel, in the US, to manage events
