General Comments

 

 

v  Our client, a global fortune 100 consumer products company seeks a Manager, Human Resources for their Grand Rapids sales/distribution facility 

v  This is a non-union environment with close to 300 individuals. 

 

·         The HR manager will develop the site recruitment strategy, sourcing techniques and implementation of innovative and efficient programs to ensure the hiring and retention of the best talent. 

·         Be responsible for the management and guidance in all employee relations issues. 

·         Manage the performance management system, annual salary exercise, annual benefits enrollment, succession planning programs and initiatives, as well as the affirmative action and diversity plans and programs.

 

o   Additionally, be accountable for compliance with appropriate governmental and legal regulations, policies and procedures. 

·         Act as liaison with Corporate Human Resources on all projects and implement HR programs at the regional level in accordance with the established HR strategy.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·         The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree with a minimum 8 years diverse and progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist capacity dealing with complex people and Human Resources issues. 

·         Strong talent management, including recruitment and performance management experience required. 

·         We seek an individual who is flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements with a strong appreciation and understanding of employment laws and procedures.

·         Must have the ability to lead and manage change in a fast paced business environment.  Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are essential for success.
