Title: Desktop Publishing
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 12+ months
Description:
Our client is looking for someone who can do both graphics work (traditional and Xyleme-based) and production work (Word/PPT and Xyleme epub, PDF, PPT, etc output).
They have a need for an urgent request as they are overloaded with Production work. Part of this is due to limited resources who have proficiency in "DTP" (Desktop Publishing) or more accurately production work (both Word/PDF, and Xyleme outputs).
Skills:
- Degree and 4+ years of related experience
- Solid base of Word, PDF proficiency. Comfortable with templates, styles, CSS style-sheets, can apply and troubleshoot.
- Solid foundation of basic graphics skills (not a "graphic artist" with a large portfolio)
- Experience with PPT, applying themes and templates correctly, can spot bad clip art, wrong colors, etc and clean-up appropriately.
- Basic-Medium Illustrator skills a plus. Familiar with XML, HTML a plus.
- Team player, flexible, and can easily adjust to change of project scope or direction
- Quick learner/self-starter, has excellent attention to detail, but not overly obsessive.
