the Irving, TX area is seeking a Sr Business Analyst - FICO for a contract to hire opportunity!

The Finance Business Analysts must analyze and synthesize information provided by a large number of people who interact with the business, such as customers, staff, IT professionals, and executives.

This position will be involved in training End Users and Super Users on IT related software processes and procedures. The Finance Business Analyst will solve questions pertaining to data, processes, or reports. This position will also lead and manage IT projects as well as support business readiness and change management.

This position is responsible for gathering the Finance/Accounting Stakeholders needs while working with IT Technical Resources to solve issues and improve process. In many cases, the business analyst will also work to ease communication between organizational units. In particular, business analysts often play a central role in aligning the needs of business units with the capabilities delivered by information technology, and may serve as a "translator" between those groups.

The Finance Business Analyst will provide End User support for IT systems to all Finance related areas. This includes the General Ledger group, Accounts Payable, Rebates Group and Accounts Receivable.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.  

Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.  

Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and producing the following deliverables as needed: Business Requirements Documents, Use Cases, Test Scenarios, Project Plans, End User Documentation

Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive to completion  
Work independently with users to define concepts under direction of project managers.  
Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.  

Strong analytical and project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.  

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse groups; including: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

Serves as the conduit between the Finance Accounting Depts and the IT Dept.  

Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates.  

Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.

Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.  

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; plus three to five years of Accounting related experience and/or training. ERP experience is a must and SAP experience is preferred. Two to three years of Project Management experience is preferred. 

Strong Skills in: 
SAP ECC 6.0
Strong PC skills including Windows 2007/2010, MS office suite

Project management tools such as MS Project and /or Visio (e.g. process mapping, swim lanes)
Reporting tools such as SAP Business Objects
