The company is one of the world’s leading provider of advanced chemical Materials having its operation in San Jose in a range of global business activities covering general trading and marketing of finished goods as well as business investments, international projects, development of next generation chemical products for Electronics, Automotive, Medical and cosmetic market.

 Position Overview

The Customer Service / Account Executive position is primarily responsible for maintaining current customer accounts and helping to develop new leads. The position entails both Sales and Marketing, but the primary duties will pertain to establishing new accounts.

 Responsibilities

  • Following up on leads with potential customers; developing leads that align with the company’s target markets.
  • Preparing quotations for materials or engineering coating runs. Consulting with production and sales manager to prepare production quotations.
  • Maintaining current customer accounts, speaking with customers about their applications. Recommending coating specs or materials to customers.
  • Working as a team with production staff, customer support, and technical personnel.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering – especially chemical- or other technical field preferred.
  • Strong willingness to learn highly technical aspects of coating and customer applications.
  • Previous experience in technical sales preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent computer skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to follow up with customers and monitor many customer accounts simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and think strategically regarding customer account acquisition and development
  • Ability to make initial customer contact by phone and generate leads
  • Previous experience with SalesForce or other database systems is a plus
  • Basic familiarity with online marketing: SEO, Google AdWords, Google analytics, etc.
