Global Business Development Manager - Partner Business Services @ Cisco !

Cisco Services is building a portfolio of differentiated "smart" service offerings to enable our customers to run their networks & businesses with higher levels of availability, predictability and efficiency.

Cisco Services seeks a motivated Global Business Development Manager to manage strategic deals and the controlled introduction of new collaborative (i.e. partner-enabled) "smart" services to the market. This high profile initiative will drive a transformational business change in the way we approach services and will help establish Cisco as a market leader in next-generation "smart" services.

The role requires a minimum of 15 years Global experience, including a strong Software & Managed Services background, channels experience, product management/ product marketing experience, and business development experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage Global strategic deals that enhance the value prop and accelerate market adoption of Cisco "Smart" service offerings

Analyze Global market & competitive trends and customer requirements to identify systemic gaps & new opportunities

Identify & evaluate Global options to address gaps & opportunities

Qualify the Global opportunity and put together business justification to pursue the opportunity

Initiate & manage discussions and negotiations with potential partners

Coordinate & manage internal discussions to do required due diligence, define deal terms, get buy-in from stakeholders and drive to closure

Manage internal stakeholders across product management, marketing, sales, channels, engineering, corporate business development, legal and finance

Manage the controlled introduction (CI) of new collaborative "smart" service offerings that are co-delivered with Cisco Partners

Develop plan to ensure readiness of service offer for controlled introduction to Global market

Engage in discussions with Theaters to understand Theater-specific requirements and challenges

Work closely with Product Mgmt to ensure that Product Release plans are aligned with Theater needs

Work closely with Services Channels to ensure that CI plans are aligned with Services Channel programs

Determine target Theaters for CI and work with Theater BDMs to put together business plan for each target Theater

Coordinate & manage efforts to ensure readiness across positioning & value prop, sales tools, partner tools, collateral and operations; identify gaps and manage & track efforts to close gaps prior to CI

Manage cross-functional efforts across Theater leads, Product Mgmt, Marketing, Services Channels and Operations to drive successful launch

REQUIREMENTS:
• MUST HAVE International / Global business development expertise
• Software, Managed Services and Channels experience
• Proven track record in taking new offerings to Global market with significant Channels involvement
• Strong channels experience
• Must have carried a sales quota in prior roles!
• Experience in driving & managing partnerships and negotiating deals
• Background in Product Management and/or Product Marketing is a plus
• Consultative approach, stakeholder influence & management skills
• Project Coordination & Organizational skills
• 15+ years of experience in the software and managed services business
• MBA preferred

• Ability to deal with ambiguity and adaptable to change.
