Jaspersoft is an open source business intelligence software company based in San Francisco (SOMA). We´ve been growing steadily for 6+ years providing reporting and analytic solutions for large Fortune 1000 organizations and mid-sized software companies. We´re in need of a product marketing resource to help expand our growing team.
Position Summary
Product Marketing at Jaspersoft is a central role and critical to the success of the company. The Product Marketing Manager works on the go-to-market strategy and is responsible for key components leading to the success of Jaspersoft products in the market. In this role you´ll operate as a global, cross-functional leader where you'll define, orchestrate, and deliver product marketing materials for Jaspersoft products and select partner solutions. You'll apply your strong communication skills and technical aptitude to effectively produce product messaging and sales tools to support our customers, sales teams and channel partners. You'll report to the Director of Product Marketing and work closely with Sales, Product Management, and other marketing peers.
You'll become an expert in Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Integration technology and will be an evangelist for Jaspersoft products. You'll be responsible for both product and partner related marketing content including product positioning, sales tools, webinars, and presentations.
Essential Responsibilities
• Analyze and document customer use cases for BI and Data Integration technologies
• Monitor competitive market trends for BI and Data Integration products
• Define product positioning and messaging
• Owns sales enablement including defining and delivering sales tools such as sales plays, presentations, and competitive tools
• Work with creative team on marketing content including white papers, web site pages, product demos, and presentations
• Manage partner marketing requirements for technologies ranging from data warehouses, cloud development platforms, and data integration
• Support marketing events including webinars, seminars, conferences
• Responsible for competitive tracking
Required Marketing/Product Marketing Experience
• 3-5 years experience in a B2B software environment
• 1-2 years of product marketing experience
• Familiar with web architectures based on Java, Web Services, and distributed/cloud platforms
Desired Experience
• Writing and presenting product collateral for customer and sales purposes
• Knowledgeable about the B2B software buying cycle
• Knowledgeable about Business Intelligence technologies and related markets (including databases, data warehouses and data integration tools)
• Hands on experience with BI and/or data integration/ETL tools
Job Requirements
• Excellent customer-facing and presentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong experience using presentation tools
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Driven, self-starter who is highly organized and productive
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• BS Degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent experience
