JOB DESCRIPTION:
Growing San Francisco creative marketing agency specializing in targeted identity systems and product packaging for consumer electronics market seeking a Project Manager. Under limited direction, this person will have primary responsibility for all customer interaction built on trust, credibility, integrity, mutual respect, and a sense of shared purpose that creates powerful customer identification with agency products and services. Project Manager must have tenacity, determination, confidence, resourcefulness, and be committed to customer success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project owner: PM is responsible for the leadership of all projects. Lead the team and help negotiate the multiple relationships within any project—whether with clients, team members, firm Principal, or any variety of partners (such as freelancers or contractors)—and function as the hub of all projects. Provide problem escalation to Project Team, including scope creep, quality, and missed deadlines.

Strategic leader: Understand customers' business needs, objectives, and requirements. Must have a vision for the course and goals of the project. Project Manager requires creative problem-solving skills and aptitude for numbers and schedules. Balance the big picture and the details.

Detail orientated: Lead Project Kickoff meetings. Create all project timelines and schedules. Use regular processes & communications to provide project status. Communicate with customers on regular basis, via Basecamp, and provide timely and professional resolution to all inquiries. Facilitate customer meetings and formally document summary of all meetings. Facilitate consultant/vendor selection, coordination, and management. Monitor budget adherence, including contractors and vendors. Provide Quality Control. Attention to detail on all project files insuring documentation is complete at the conclusion of all projects.

Forecast: Manage internal and external resources to project time required to perform work. Build schedules so clients and internal teams can view expectations. PM manages internal team to meet their commitments to insure everything is done correctly and on time.

Work collaboratively: PM needs to bring together complex, often multidisciplinary teams, facilitating a collaborative work environment. PM is responsible for fusing the work skills and styles of individuals into a team focused on project tasks and goals, rather than individual roles in a project´s success.

Personality manager: Must sustain successful relationships between team members, managing conflicting internal objectives. May be required to conduct challenging conversations between team members and client.

Technical understanding: Possess strong understanding of all the roles in a project's process, particularly those most related to the skills of the core team (designing and writing). Beneficial to have design and writing experience, even if minimal.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, business, liberal arts or related field required. Has a minimum of 3-5 years of marketing agency or client-side marketing experience. Some experience in managing and coordinating an account team handling multiple initiatives and projects. Experience in consumer electronics or product packaging marketing services a plus. Possesses excellent written and verbal skills, including strong presentation skills. Ability to persuade, influence, and convince others on both formal and informal settings.
