Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a part-time Social Media Community Manager for Digital Publishing. The Community Manager is responsible for day to-day management of multiple corporate social channel properties including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Linked In, blogs (Wordpress platform), Instagram and Tumblr. You will be authoring, monitoring and replying to content in these channels, as well as authoring blog posts on a regular basis. Social Media is an ever moving, fast paced environment, and the ideal candidate will need to be nimble in reacting to the changing landscape. A background in communications and writing, as well as an understanding of the digital publishing space and Adobe InDesign is required; a background in creative/graphic design is desired. The ideal consultant has strong interpersonal skills, is proactive, efficient and excels at managing multiple/concurrent projects.
Specific responsibilities include:
* Daily management for social properties, including but not limited to Facebook,Twitter,YouTube, LinkedIn, blogs, Instagram, Tumblr
* Contribute to strategic plans for multiple launches; assist in identifying segment goals and developing and delivering focused social media plans, quarter over quarter
* Conduct daily content research to understand community preferences and appropriate content for each page; initiate ways to profile customers and cater strategy
* Monitor blogs and alerts and deliver context-specific content appropriate to each channel property; monitor Q & A on all channels, collaborating with customer support teams
* Look for opportunities to grow social media following by participating in online conversations on other industry properties (blogs, forums, etc.)
* Partner with Sr. Social Media Strategist to develop and initiate programs with internal key stakeholders and industry specialists
* Track metrics including growth, impressions, and sentiment on all pages; deliver quarterly review presentation detailing review and assessments for each channel
* Attend weekly team meetings to review corporate social strategy and provide team updates
Skills:
* Must have a solid foundation/understanding of marketing communications, with emphasis on social media
* 3-5 years' experience developing and implementing social media strategies and programs in a corporate or business environment
* Must have a journalism or writing background and the ability provide writing samples
* Print publishing background or understand magazine publishing space, print design
* Experience managing social properties for a brand using Facebook, Twitter, blogs, LinkedIn and YouTube and working knowledge of other key platforms including but not limited to Flickr, Instagram, Tumblr
* Understanding of Adobe Digital Publishing Suite
* Strong quantitative analytical skills, especially campaign analysis and online analytics tools
* Working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) concepts preferred
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure
* Bachelors' degree in Journalism, Design, Advertising, Digital Marketing, Social Media or Communications
Rate: D.O.E. as a w2 employee of Crawford Group
Location: 3 days per week onsite at client's office in San Francisco, CA, remainder offsite/remote/WFH. No phone calls, please.
Hours/Duration: Full time, 10/21/13 - ongoing
