Marketing and Communications Coordinator/Manager
We are a small but growing library software company looking for an energetic and highly organized marketing and communications expert to coordinate and lead full-cycle publicity and communications campaigns from planning stages through execution to final evaluation. This position will allow you to apply your creative problem-solving, writing, and project management skills to help us develop and market a consistent brand and message across our several products to a growing audience of academic institutions. You'll work closely with our Outreach and Scholarly Communications as well as Sales teams to provide input on and assistance with blog stories, social marketing strategies, and e-mail messaging; write press releases, copy for our websites, and a variety of position papers and case studies; and develop and manage research and publicity campaigns for a variety of initiatives.
We're looking for someone who likes to work collaboratively but can take the lead on projects and manage them from start to finish, who is flexible, creative, and has experience working in academic and education markets.

- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of marketing and communications experience
- Impeccable writing skills with a strength in being catchy yet intelligent and insightful
- Demonstrated experience in managing the full cycle of a publicity/marketing campaign
- Ability to identify the needs of and effectively message to different audiences at all levels
- Flexibility in the face of a rapidly changing market and growing company
- Comfortable working both collaboratively and independently
- Excels at clear communication with all levels of staff across all teams
- Attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, in particular with Microsoft Office and Salesforce
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, strong work ethic, patience, and a good sense of humor
Definitely preferred but not required:
- Familiarity and experience with the academic world, in particular librarianship, scholarly communications, and the scholarly research cycle

- Develop and implement a marketing plan for our recently released Digital Commons Network (http://network.bepress.com) to academic libraries, departments, and research centers
- Develop research and publicity campaigns for pursuing other 2013 marketing themes
- Produce marketing videos to tell key elements of our story
- Create case studies
- Organize, coordinate, and simplify our websites to provide consistent branding and messaging for our products and company
- Organize a variety of resources centered around particular topics and interests aimed at prospective customers
- Collaborate on thought pieces
- Develop a table comparing features of our platform to those of other similar platforms and products
