Title: Program/Project Manager with Learning exp.
Contract: 6+ months
Location: San Jose, CA
The Program/Project Manager manages large/complex projects or multiple projects for the development, delivery and management of learning.
The Program/Project Manager is responsible for creation of a project schedule and plan with financial, resource and material requirements. The Program/Project Manager creates a space for housing the project documentation that is accessible to the Core Project Team. The Program/Project Manager ensures that all projects documents are maintained in the project space, including but not limited to project schedule, business requirements, application or report mockups, current and proposed process flows, risk and mitigation plans, change requests, project meeting agendas and minutes. The PM also manages the business requirements scope and change requests raised during the life of the project and helps team to assess impact and balance requests against cost and timeline.
The Program/Project Manager develops and presents proposals to stakeholders and status to management/steering committee.
The Program/Project Manager manages the project from start to completion including the resolution of escalated project issues. The Program/Project Manager provides leadership to business project team including Business Analyst, Communications, Change Management, Quality Control and other business users. The PM ensures the business and IT project teams are closely aligned and work collaboratively to deliver on-time, within budget, high quality products.
The Program/Project Manager conducts project meetings to review schedules and status, discuss/clarify business requirements and change requests.
The Program/Project Manager is accountable for the project budget, develops business value case with core team and presents business value case to stakeholders. The PM ensures the project life cycle is followed and coordinates with IT PM to create and deliver presentations to management.

The Program/Project Manager may also manage the business deliverables for other software application projects such as ASP engagements, implementation of new vendor software projects, development of new or upgrade/enhancement of legacy tools.
Reports to the Program Management Office Manager
Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from project sponsor(s) and stakeholders
Executive and team communications on status and next steps towards completing project deliverables (weekly formal presentations, team notes, and e-mail communications)
Manage project teams performance of defined project tasks track and manage to prevent or mitigate schedule slippage
Meet and complete project objectives and deliverables with available resources and targeted timelines
Manage and maintain project schedule for required team tasks and target completion dates
Risk management and issue escalation when project team cannot resolve
Define and manage project scope to deliver as communicated (and as expected)
Required Skills:
* Project Management experience working with large project teams.
* Program/Project Management experience in the deployment of leading edge technologies in a highly complex learning environment.
* Program/Project Manager experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
*Build relationships and collaborates with diverse business clients as well as IT
*Problem Solving and Decision Making
*Earns the confidence of others through open communication and respectful behavior
*Impacts decisions, influences others, and drives action by clearly and effectively expressing ideas in clear and concise language
*Makes effective business presentations
