Title: Software Defined Networking Architect
Team:
Huawei’s Cloud Computing Product Line is responsible for developing cutting-edge technology for next generation data center and software defined infrastructure. We are a small team with a lot of flexibility and agility (think of CTO office in other giant infrastructure companies), and our focus is to build key software defined data center/infrastructure technology.
Work:
Software defined networking (SDN) is a key technology in our next generation product, and we invest strategically into SDN in data center market. We are looking for networking architects who possess profound SDN knowledge/background and hands-on experience. You will be leading the efforts of scoping problems and customer pain points, investigating SDN technology and value-proposition, and lastly delivering the proof-of-concept and even alpha product. Essentially, this is a great opportunity to work in a giant company yet having a startup culture.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of industry experience in Layer-2 and Layer-3 networking
- Strong networking virtualization experience required
· Knowledge in OVS and one of SDN controllers (ODL, Floodlight, RYU…) required
· Experience developing datacenter or enterprise products
· Clear understanding of hyper scale system design, High-Availability (HA) architectures
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal communication skills)
· Proficient in one of the general programming languages: Python/Ruby/Java/C++/Golang…
· Experience developing networking products with SDN architectures is a huge plus
- Demonstrated participation and leadership in an open source project or an standards community is a huge plus.
- Possessing networking hardware/driver level knowledge, such as Intel DPDK, is preferred
· Knowledge of NFV services and OpenStack preferred
