Global Supply Chain From a strategic perspective, the role supports the General Manager - GSC and partnering with key GSC stakeholders in the deployment and evaluation of business cases for identified commercial opportunities.

The role plays a very active role in the creation and implementation of initiatives and strategies to "manage the gap" between current performance and required performance both in the short and long term. The role also contributes strategically as a member of the GSC leadership team where the work focus is on longer term planning (3 years+) to ensure the economic value and long term sustainability of the business (with a GSC focus). From an operational perspective, it has primary accountability for the provision of strategic commercial advisory, governance and transactional services to GSC.

The role also ensures an ongoing drive for continuous improvement of business performance through the provision of accurate financial information and guidance to facilitate sound decision-making. The role operates as the Commercial business partner of the General Manager - GSC, which would include identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and improve quality, providing trend analysis of spending patterns, KPI analysis, analysis of business cases submitted for investment along with the preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans.

Responsibilities:
- Generation of weekly and monthly ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
- Provide commercial input, analysis and recommendations into business cases other business improvement opportunities
- Provide commercial advice into the development, deployment and execution of the GSC strategy.
- Challenge, drive and hold GSC lead team members to account around delivery of performance objectives.
- Provision of an assurance of the financial feasibility of business productivity initiatives and the management of business and commercial risk.
- Identify key business drivers and provide analysis of variances from targeted results along with recommendations to close any gaps. Identify trends in performance and implement recommended actions to improve performance in consultation with the GSC leadership team.
- Identify & realize opportunities for the company to increase shareholder value in the areas of tax concessions, importation, duty drawback etc.

Governance, Accounting and Reporting:
- Provide analysis and insight into manufacturing recoveries.
- Identify key business drivers and provide analysis of variances from targeted results along with recommendations to close any gaps.
- Provide analysis and insight into product cost information and international transfer pricing benchmarks (including major BOM reviews)
- Provide analysis and insight into procurement activities and savings.
- Reporting and analysis of global inventory position, including the stewardship of the global inventory provision policy and preparation of Audit Committee papers as required.
- Take responsibility for risk management within GSC, ensuring regular reporting of risks and ensuring appropriate mitigating controls are in place and being appropriately managed.
- Coordinate and manage the internal & external audit processes for GSC, including the follow up and implementation of recommendations.
- Development and embedding of commercial systems and processes throughout GSC
- Governance of end to end supply chain process to ensure consistency and adherence to agreed practices. This includes having an audit role across supply chain processes within the regions, identifying variations to standard processes and providing the roadmap to resolve issues.
- Stewardship of the global supply network including US, AUS, Japan, Asia, EMEA, NZ, ACE in partnership with the GM GSC.

Budgeting / Forecasting:
- Owner of the GSC budget and forecast process. Ensure that costs are linked to and based on key drivers. All the time ensuring that all assumptions are visible and agreed.
- Prepare Quarterly review and budget presentations and assist in the cascading down of key initiatives.
- Effective forecasting of management performance / results
- including flash reporting

Global Supply Chain Dimension:
- GSC annual budget is in the range of $26m
- Global inventory is approximately $120m
- GSC worldwide employees are approximately 60 direct and 300 indirect with centers in Sydney, Las Vegas, Macau, Tokyo, RSA and the UK.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant CPA / CA or in progress with 7 years experience in a corporate environment
- Understanding of cost accounting and standard costing models
- Ability to perform variance analysis.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines whilst providing quality information.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff.
- Computer skills — advanced Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
- A very good understanding of general accounting concepts.
- Ability to identify and understand key drivers in a complex commercial environment.
- Financial modeling and business case preparation
- Operational experience (background in manufacturing and/or FMCG)
