North American Software Lab Technical VP
Job Description:
· The Software Laboratory is a company-level software technologies innovation center in US run by the Huawei Corporation. The main responsibility of the Lab is to trace, identify and master the key software technologies in ICT field, construct the next generation core software technologies of Huawei Company, and guide to apply the technologies to the research of future generation products. As owner of the Lab, this position's main responsibility is leading the team to achieve the performance goal.
Responsibilities
· To analyse software development trend in US, make software technologies development strategy of Huawei, discern the key software technologies that products need.
· To lead key technologies group to master the key software technologies, and support and apply to products development.
· To guarantee to achieve the goal of the Software Laboratory, according to your judgement and experience.
Essential Skills required :
· Must have significant experience at a major carrier company.
· More than 12 years of experiences in the areas of software, held senior technical or management positions.
· Satisfies at least one of the following conditions:
a) Have a profound understanding of Multi-Core, or Virtualization, or Database, or Bigdata, or Cloud Computation technical direction, and have successful experience of leading research group.
b) Excellent understanding of DB/Bigdata/AI/Machine Learning technologies, have experience of leading several successful software projects in above technical fields.
c) Excellent understanding of how to apply multi-core technologies, excellent understanding of model for parallel computation, has experience of leading several successful software projects in parallel computation technical field.
d) Excellent background and successful story of Software strategy planning of company level, good understanding of carrier industry
